CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONE

We will liaise with the hospital or mortuary where your loved on is currently lying and arrange transfer into our care. Our uniformed staff will attend in a private ambulance and convey the deceased to our local chapel of rest. Whilst in our care the body will be kept in our own mortuary under strict hygienic conditions.

PREPARATION

We are happy to dress the deceased in their own clothes or a funeral gown in accordance with your wishes. Unrestricted viewing may take place in our private chapels up to and including the day of the funeral. Families who, for personal or religious reasons, wish to prepare the body are welcome to use our facilities.

DOCUMENTATION

We will complete all necessary paperwork and submit it on time to the appropriate authority. In respect of cremations we will obtain certificates from two medical practitioners and pay their fees on your behalf.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE

At your request we will engage the service of a minister, humanist, civil celebrant or officiate to conduct the funeral service. Our experience and wide range of contacts enables us to select the most suitable person to lead the service.

We are able to advise on the preparation and printing of orders of service or other tributes in memory of the deceased. We will discuss with you the wording of obituary notices in national or local papers and submit them for publication on your behalf.

FUNERAL FLOWERS

All flowers delivered to our branches are checked and kept separate whilst we prepare for the funeral. The coffin, hearse and any limousines are then “dressed” prior to departure. If you ever need help arranging any funeral flowers (floral tribute) please don’t hesitate to call your local branch for helpful advise.

HANDLING DONATIONS

On your behalf we are pleased to accept donations payable to your chosen charity and will in due course dispatch them to their registered office. We will also inform you of the total amount raised and the names of the donors.

PERSONALISING A SERVICE

The funeral of a loved one is a very personal occasion and can be marked in numerous ways. All of our funeral directors can advise you on those special touches you may wish to include to make the service memorable and unique.

COLLECTION OF ASHES

Following a cremation we can collect the remains and keep them safely at our branch whilst the family decide upon their final disposal. We are able to supply a wide variety of burial caskets or ornamental urns.

24 HOUR SERVICE

A family member is available 24 hours a day to provide advice and assistance. We are happy to visit you in the privacy of your home to make any necessary arrangements or discuss any queries you may have.
