Why Story Locker? The inspiration behind Story Locker…
Story Locker was inspired by Nina’s son, Dhilon, who passed away in 1995 aged 50, with Acoustic Neuroma (a type of brain tumour). She never met her grandchildren, and he always thinks about how she would have loved getting to know them and telling them her stories. Recently, his eight-year-old son, Kian, had been asking about his grandma, and all he had to share with him were his memories, along with some old photos and VHS tapes. Precious as those are, he had given anything for his sons to hear her voice and listen to her life story. It made him think how his Mum could have captured her story in today’s digital world. He decided to set up an interview for his Dad so he could tell their story and have it recorded as a podcast. When he saw his son’s face as he listened to it play back, he knew he had created something special.
How does Story Locker work?
It’s a really simple process.
Choose: You choose your package (a 45, 60 or 90-minute podcast interview), your category (Life Story, Wedding, Milestone Celebration) and your professional interviewer from a team of over 20.
Record: You then record your podcast from the comfort of your home. We’ll send you all the equipment you need in a special branded box, including a top-quality podcast mic and headphones, which you get to keep.
Share: After we have professionally edited your recording, overlaid it with beautiful music, your personal Story Locker will be created online, along with any photos you wish to add. It is now ready to share with friends and family forever.

I’ve never done a podcast interview before, is it hard to set it all up?
Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through every step of the process. You’ll receive all the equipment you need including a headset and microphone. Easy to follow guidance on how to get set up will also be supplied. A Tech Producer will be on hand for your main Interview recording and is always there to offer help if needed.
